1st Enduro Xtrail Competition set on June 11

The Municipality of Alegria, Surigao del Norte is now ready for the 1st Enduro Xtrail Competition on June 11, 2022 as one of the highlight activity in line with the celebration of the 54th Adlaw nan Alegria.

Municipal Agriculturist, Engr. Raul Micompal, the in-charge of the said activity with an organizer Mr. Emmanuel Gabor of JA4 Promotion revealed that the Enduro Xtrail Competition will start around 8AM on June 11, 2022 from Barangay Julio Ouano following the trail route to Barangay Ombong river then to Ombong road to Barangay Camp Edward including the road within the Camp Edward IP Community, up to Bansilayan then follow the trails to Puting Bato of Barangay Budlingin.

From proper barangay site of Budlingin, the Enduro Xtrail competitors will follow the barangay road of Budlingin downward to Lumondo river irrigation dam, then turn to Magtiaco River down under Magtiaco Bridge in Barangay San Pedro, and will pass through Barangay San Pedro road toward Barangay Anahaw and return back to Barangay Julio Ouano. Competitors will traverse the route to an approximate total length of 20 kilometers.

Meanwhile, Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Officer Luniza Garrido, said that the 1st Enduro Xtrail Competition has been push through with the full support of Mayor Rene Esma who initiate the promotion of the competition in the municipality with an aim to foster tourism and economic development which will usher to the ultimate goal of achieving wealth and progress in the locality.

Accordingly, there will be 20 teams composed of two person per team or a total of 40 individual racers coming from different places are expected to join the 1st Enduro Xtrail. The awarding of the competition will be given during the end of the activity. (JSN)
